ESSER FUNDS
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the US Congress has passed several stimulus bills. Each of the bills has included funds intended to assist school districts in addressing issues relating to COVID-19. Below is a summary of each of these bills:
ESSER I
- Stimulus Bill: CARES Act
- Performance Period: 03/13/2020 - 09/30/2022

ESSER II
- Stimulus Bill: Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA)
- Performance Period: 03/13/2020 - 09/30/2023
- Funds awarded: $100,000
ESSER III
- Stimulus Bill: American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
- Performance Period for Lakeland School: 08/19/2022 - 09/30/2024
- Funds awarded through DPI Supplemental Funding: $700,000

- ESSER III LEA Plan Report: 2021-2022
The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, the third federal COVID-19 relief law, passed in March 2021, provides one-time funds for our district through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III grant program. Funds are intended to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation's students.
