Intoxicated Driver Program

Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) assessments (PDF) are always ordered when someone is convicted of OWI. The Behavioral Health Division serves as Walworth County’s Intoxicated Driver Program provider. This means that Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services is the only entity in the county that can complete OWI assessments and carry out the monitoring of the Driver Safety Plan.

Assessment Appointment

An assessment determines the extent of the person's alcohol and/or drug abuse problem. Consumers must pay the established rate with cash or money order at the time of their scheduled appointment. Canceling or rescheduling an OWI assessment appointment must be done 48 business hours in advance otherwise the fee will increase and/or the consumer may be placed in a prepay status. To schedule an initial appointment, cancel or reschedule an appointment, call 262-741-3791.
