Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy Department
The Occupational Therapists (OT) and Physical Therapists (PT) work with students in all departments of Lakeland School to help create the best learning environments for all. Therapists modify materials and tools to foster independence with school related tasks, encourage growth with self-help skills, and increase skills related to sensory regulation, gross motor, and fine motor tasks.
Therapists connect with students in a variety of ways to address and meet their individual needs and educational goals, including one-to-one sessions, group sessions, movement-based learning opportunities, and co-teaching strategies within the classroom.
