COVID-19 Testing at Fairgrounds Extended through Dec. 2021

Walworth County Public Health and the Wisconsin National Guard (WING) will continue drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Walworth County Fairgrounds through December 2021. The WING testing site will be open to the public on the following Tuesdays from noon to 5 p.m.: 

  • Oct. 19 and 26
  • Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • Dec. 7, 14

Testing is free, and no registration is required. WING will administer PCR tests for adults and children as young as one year of age. The Walworth County Fairgrounds are located at 411 E. Court St. in Elkhorn. Access to the testing site is via the Fairgrounds’ north gate off Hwy. 11.

Additional Testing Sites

The weekly testing and vaccination clinic at Chapel on the Hill in Lake Geneva will be open through the end of October. Clinic dates are Tuesdays, October 19 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A partnership between Walworth County Public Health and Open Arms Free Clinic, the site administers PCR tests as well as the Pfizer (first and second doses, booster shots) and Johnson & Johnson (single dose) vaccinations.

COVID-19 rapid and PCR tests are also available locally through UW-Whitewater, local healthcare providers, and select Walgreens locations. 

Walk-in COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Walworth County Public Health will hold walk-in vaccine clinics at the Whitewater Community Engagement Center (1260 W. Main St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 28 and Nov. 4, 11, and 18. Public Health will administer Pfizer (first and second doses, booster shots) and Johnson & Johnson vaccines (single dose).
