[ARCHIVED] Need a Ride? Try the County’s Affordable Public Transit Services

If you’re looking for affordable transportation in and around Walworth County, try booking a ride with the County’s public transportation services. The programs, offered in partnership with VIP Services, provide rides to residents seeking budget-friendly and convenient options for transportation to and from destinations within and outside of Walworth County.  

There are two transportation-service options:

  1. Specialized Program: Available to seniors ages 60 and over, qualified veterans, and persons with disabilities. This door-to-door service offers rides to medical and dialysis appointments within or outside of Walworth County or to local senior dining centers. Operates Monday through Friday. Saturdays available for dialysis appointments only. Rides within Walworth County are free; rides outside of the county incur small fees. All vehicles are ramp or lift equipped. Advance reservations are required.
  2. Shared-Ride Taxi Program (aka Wal-to-Wal DIAL-a-RIDE): An affordable, shared-ride public-transit option for travel within Walworth County for any trip purpose. Fares vary by rider age, disability, and if travel is within one community’s city limits or between multiple communities. Operates weekdays 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All vehicles are ramp or lift equipped. Advance reservations are suggested.
